Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. King Tides Construction is a brand of Apex Builderz LLC, a licensed, bonded, and insured Washington general contractor (Reg. #APEXBBL749B1, UBI 604-945-342). You can check our registration yourself with WA Labor & Industries.
What areas do you serve?
Bellingham and Whatcom County, including Ferndale, Lynden, Blaine, Everson, and Sumas. We also work with BC homeowners who are building or remodeling here in Whatcom County.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. Whatcom County has two permit offices: the City of Bellingham Permit Center and Whatcom County Building Services. We work with the right one for your project so you don't have to.
How do you price a project?
We give you a clear scope and an honest range during the consultation, before any demo starts. We publish price ranges instead of instant online quotes, because a real project deserves a real estimate.
Do you do electrical, plumbing, and HVAC?
We bring in licensed trade partners for those when the job calls for it. They all work under one project owner who stays responsible for the whole job.
What makes King Tides different from a single-trade company?

What if something goes wrong after the job is done?
Our work carries a workmanship warranty. If a callback is ours, we come back and make it right. A job isn't done when we leave. It's done when it holds up.
What backs the work if there's a real dispute?
Apex Builderz LLC carries a $30,000 contractor bond and $1,000,000 general liability. Those exist to protect a Washington homeowner if a contractor fails to perform or causes damage. You can confirm both with WA Labor & Industries.
Who do I call if there's a problem?
The same project owner who ran your job. One name stays responsible after the work is done. Not a call center, and not a runaround between companies.
What about the specialty trades on my project?
Every trade answers to one contractor. If a licensed plumbing or electrical partner did the work, we still coordinate the fix. You don't get bounced from company to company.
What isn't covered?
Normal wear, owner-supplied materials that fail on their own, and changes someone else makes after we finish. We'll always tell you straight which side of that line a problem falls on.
